CrankItUp! is an Edinburgh Award Winning / Guinness World Record Breaking reality show that ran for 3 seasons from 2007 to 2013. The first season aired on the Comcast television network in the US and around the world via YouTube making it one of the first shows to be broadcast simultaneously on both TV and the internet.
In 2008 CrankItUp! won the first ever "Viral Grand Prix" award at the Edinburgh TV & Film festival. Clips from the show were pitted against other creator's videos in a "first to go viral wins" competition. CrankItUp! easily beat out the competition earning over 100,000 over the course of the 2 day festival. The award was retired a year later making the CrankItUp! team the only content creators to ever win this award.
During a 2007 promotional tour Crank broke the world record for "most kicks in the nuts" taking 12 consecutive kicks live on stage at Sheffield's Corporation nightclub. Crank would later go on to break this record a further 2 times (23 kicks in 2009 and 71 kicks in 2011). Crank holds the record to this day along with one for most successful attempts. Due to the dangerous nature of this record it is recognized by Guinness but not officially acknowledged.

On April 13th, 2020 Alvin "Rocher" Henderson passed away due to complications arising from COVID 19. Alvin was best known for his work on CrankItUp!, starting out first as a member of our camera crew but with his undeniable talent he quickly became an on-screen talent, going on to become of our co-stars and a favorite amongst fans of the series. Alvin was fiercely loyal and endlessly creative, inspiring and adoring everyone he met. Rest in Power, Alvin |
