CHARITY BOXING
In 2023 Crank stepped into the world of fighting for the first time, competing in a charity boxing match. Since then Crank has had multiple fights and has raised over £1K for Cancer Research and Campaign Against Living Miserably. Crank is due to step in the ring for the final time in November of 2026.
PAST CAMPAIGNS
INVASION
From 2017-2022 Crank volunteered at Invasion, an annual outdoor pop-culture event held in his hometown Colchester, Essex. Appearing under his "Ecto Crank" moniker he spent his time interacting with the public and poising for photos alongside his fellow Essex Ghostbuster team mates. Invasion raises over £10,000 a year for the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
ECTO-CON: GLASGOW
Ecto-Con was Europe's first and largest all Ghostbusters convention, featuring guests from across the Ghostbusters franchise and attendees from around the globe. Ecto-Con was created to give Ghostbusters fans in Europe a much deserved celebration of their favorite franchise. The event raised £5.5K for the Glasgow Children's Hospital and has since inspired the launch of other fan events and gatherings across Europe.
COMIC HERO RUN
Crank competed in Colchester's annual Comic Hero Run, a charity 10K in which participants dress up as their favorite pop-culture heroes. Crank dressed as Slimer and placed 7th out of 100 runners, raising £250 for the St. Helena Hospice.
MARATHON RADIO SHOW
To raise some much-needed funds for Ipswich Community Radio Crank, the then managing director decided to the on the challenge of a radio marathon; broadcasting continuously, 24 hours a day for as long as he could stay awake. Crank lasted over 60 hours without stopping, raising over £1.5K for the station.
EBONY & IVORY SINGLE
Despite having zero singing ability Crank and Alvin "Rocher" Henderson hit the studio in the summer of 2013 to record a humerously out of tune cover of Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder's classic song "Ebony & Ivory". Astoundingly the single sold almost 500 copies, with all the proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
BLINDFOLDED ART
Crank threw on a blindfold and attempted to sketch the Dark Knight as part of his "Mission a Day" campaign for the dare and challenge site imissionyou. The sketch was later sold at auction and raised £100 for Bowel Cancer UK.
TWO MEN, 3 PEAKS
Crank & BlackJack took on the almighty task of trying to scale the United Kingdom's infamous "Three Peaks" in under 24 hours. The boys climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in just 21 hours and raised almost £1K for Cancer Research UK.
UK's HIGHEST BUNGEE JUMP
In honor of his late mother, Crank leapt out of a 300 ft high cage to complete the UK's highest bungee jump, simultaneously conquering his fear of heights and raising over £200 for Cancer Research UK.
BLACKWATER TRIATHLON
Despite suffering a knee injury just days prior Crank not only completed the annual Blackwater Triathlon but actually placed 1st in the swim portion, finishing 7th overall whilst raising over £200 for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
